For the last few months, Federal Way school district fourth graders have been raising Coho salmon fry. We will be joining them on their days of release to teach the students what they can do to help native salmon populations at their own homes!

At Puget Sound WildCare, we are looking for volunteers to come and sign up to help us maintain the steady flow of the facility. Sunday, September 27th from 9a-12p from Landsburg to Maple Valley and back. We should observe spawning salmon in the river and talk about Cedar River ecology. Limited to 10 people. Register for meeting location.

Saturday August 8th from 9am-12pm. We will be hiking along a primitive trail between Cedar River Natural Area and Belcomdo Reach Natural Area. We will see restoration project efforts and talk about Cedar River ecology. Limited to 10 people. Bring snack and water. Register for meeting location.
